Borzuat School

In 2012, we took up a major technical challenge: to design and build a flush structural facade, rotating on all 4 sides of the building, with glass-to-glass angles, with slopes on the bottom and top of the glazing forming trapezoids. 4 months of intense work in the technical office were necessary to coordinate and design this facade, frame by frame, glass by glass, shelf by shelf. In the end, the plans were correct and no glass had to be changed.

Another specialty of this Borzuat School project is the use of glass railings glued to the windows. Laboratory resistance tests have proven the performance of this cutting-edge solution.

But the Borzuat School was also an opportunity to demonstrate our know-how in interior carpentry.  The Savioz-Fabrizzi architectural office had designed cabinets covered with perforated stainless steel sheeting. In addition to its sound-absorbing properties, stainless steel being magnetic allowed schoolchildren to decorate their classrooms freely.

The Borzuat School is an example of a beautiful collaboration between the carpenter and the architect for an exceptional reference!
