STARON® is a solid, non-porous, cast material, composed mainly of a natural mineral (2/3 bauxite and 1/3 acrylic polymers). The STARON® elements are assembled without visible joints with a 2-component adhesive. This allows us to manufacture work surfaces that are hygienic, easy to clean and compatible with food. As it is UV resistant, it can also be used outdoors. Although STARON® has the characteristics and properties of stone, it can be shaped like hardwood and can be sawn, milled, drilled, sanded and thermoformed. Being massive and homogeneous, it can be worked in three dimensions and offers planners and stylists great freedom of conceptualization. STARON® is shock and acid-resistant. Even cigarette burns leave no lasting traces. It can be cleaned with an abrasive and is very easy to maintain since it is non-porous and has no joints. Unlike stone, STARON® is warm and pleasant to the touch. STARON® is not subject to electrostatics and emits no radiation.

STARON® is a long-lasting product that does not deteriorate, even if it is heavily used. This is why SAMSUNG, manufacturer of the Staron, can provide a 10-year warranty.
