Since July 2025, our company has been certified Valais Excellence – Positive Economy.
A sustainable and responsible economy in Valais is everyone's responsibility. As a local company, we want to play our part in shaping the future of Valais, which is why we have joined Valais Excellence.

This label distinguishes Valais companies that are committed to sustainable development and citizenship, mindful of their social and environmental role and eager to strive for constant improvement in their products and services. It brings together more than 200 members, including large companies, SMEs, administrations, and non-profit organizations.

Founded in 1939 in Sierre, TZ Carpentry has been a family business for four generations. Our local roots made this certification an obvious choice, and we have many reasons for committing to this process:

The criteria for Valais Excellence – Positive Economy certification are numerous and classified into five themes:

Governance: the system by which an organization makes decisions and implements them in order to achieve its objectives.For us, commitment and leadership are a given; as entrepreneurs, we are prepared to take risks and assume responsibility for them with the desire to leave a mark.
Local roots: the organization's ability to generate value locally.
We are committed to remaining a manufacturer and retaining control of our expertise in Valais, from production to assembly, using Swiss or, where necessary, European raw materials.
Employees: job creation and salaries as a contribution from an organization.
Our workforce consists of 35 experienced and loyal employees, including three apprentices. The transfer of knowledge is essential to us.
To ensure the safety of our employees and limit strenuous and repetitive work, we have invested in a loading robot.
The positive impact of the business model: behavior that promotes the emergence of a positive and responsible economy, for the construction of a sustainable and desirable future.
We consider ourselves innovators at heart; the Pollux window, a wood-laminated glass window developed by us, combines aesthetics, protection of the wood against the elements, increased light, and heat savings.
The environment: Developing sustainable societies and lifestyles.
Being sensitive to environmental issues involves not only the quality of our products but also our production site. We heat our premises using a boiler fueled by our wood waste and have invested in a model with a particle filter.
